The LinkedIn Spin

Your voice matters! Every exit interview shapes the culture we're building together. #peoplefirst

The Unfiltered Truth

Short version: the transcript goes into a spreadsheet, the spreadsheet goes into a deck, and the deck gets one slide titled "themes". Nobody reads the transcript. If you want something to actually change, put it in writing to the person's manager's manager BEFORE you resign, while they still think you might stay.

Exhibit A · Manager Receipt

"Themes slide only. Do not attach transcripts to the QBR deck." — People Ops leadership, Slack

"While they still think you might stay" is the only leverage any of us ever had.

Can confirm from the recruiting side. Exit interview data went into a Q-review slide and died there.

Did mine yesterday. Told the truth. Now understand it went into a cell.
