I counted. Fourteen. "We're a family" (x6), "family first" (x4), "this family" (x3), "family feeling" (x1). The layoff list had been finalized the previous Friday; the calendar invite for the meeting was created before the family speech. The 40 got a 15-minute Zoom and a PDF. The PDF opened with "Dear Brightline family member".
